7 AYURVEDIC TIPS FOR CHILDREN

 

TIP 1: MAINTAIN A HEALTHY ROUTINE
It becomes very important for a child to follow a routine with a specific rhythm. Children generally have difficulties handling stimuli in their lives which commonly leads to restlessness, hyperactivity, and anxiety. From an Ayurvedic point of view, this is called Vata. The best solution for such issues is creating a daily routine and finding a balance to restore or create a balance among dosh.

 

TIP 2: START YOUR DAY WITH WATER
Lukewarm water is your best friend to start a healthy morning it not only clears your throat providing relief but also stimulates bowel movements allowing inner cleansing.

TIP 4: AYURVEDIC CUISINE FOR CHILDREN

  • A good Ayurvedic routine involves stimulating 6 senses during every meal by introducing 6 tastes ( salty, spicy, bitter, sweet, and astringent).
  • Meals should be fresh.
  • Warm water between meals to make the digestive tract stronger.

To suppress the strong cravings for sweets among children it is not important to give them something unhealthy as they can be rather provided with apple sauce, porridge, fresh fruits, etc. before meals.
Ghee should be added to their diet whether with meals or milk.
TIPS FOR ALL MEALS :

BREAKFAST:
Stimulate agni i.e digestive power among children.
With the help of porridge, ground ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, a bit of cardamom al so spice milk like ghee, and ground ginger in a glass, of milk.

LUNCH:

  • Lassi + coconut and vanilla
  • Lemon spice lassi
  • Mango Lassi
  • Almond vanilla lassi

Dinner:
Keep it light by avoiding animal fat.

 

TIP 5: FUN BALANCE EXERCISES
Children should be encouraged to get involved in outdoor activities like walking, running, cycling, yoga, or any given sport to maintain their health in a fun way.

 

TIP 6: BALANCING STIMULI OVERLOAD
To relieve themselves from academic relieve any other pressure, they use computers or phones which rather than reducing increases stimulus and the increased use of medical problems to arise.
